Riley Gaines Hosted by 11th District

Protesters Fail to Quiet Sports Activist Riley Gaines

Gaines Delivers Powerful Positive Message to Sold Out Oakland County Crowd

West Bloomfield, MI (For immediate release):  Riley Gaines, nationally known female sports activist, delivered her powerful message in defense of women competing only against biological women, and not against men claiming to be women.

Her remarks were made to a sold out crowd of supporters at the American Polish Cultural Center located in Troy, Michigan. The event is sponsored by the 11th Congressional District Committee (https://www.mi11cd.com/).

Riley Gaines (https://rileygaines.com/) is a 12 time All-American swimmer, with 5 SEC titles, as a successful female swimmer at University of Kentucky. Her entire life changed when she was forced to share a locker room and then compete against biological male Lia Thomas at the 2022 NCAA Women’s Swimming Championship.

“That moment became my call to action,” said Gaines.  “To defend and protect America’s daughters against the woke left and their gender-denying ideology. Biological men should not take opportunities for success in sports away from women.  Protecting the girls’ and women’s’ sport category is common sense and should not be a partisan issue.”

Earlier in the day, Gaines spoke with hundreds of Oakland County high school students where her message about fairness in girls’ and women’s sports was enthusiastically received.

“Parents and all common sense citizens in the 11th Congressional District are not OK with pretend ‘females’ taking athletic opportunities away from biological females,” said Debra Oestreich, Vice Chair of the 11th Congressional District. “Riley’s message will help our members, friends and voters to seek out this radical cancel culture and defeat it.  We are thrilled to have been able to host Riley’s presentations here in Oakland County.”

“11th District voters know that the culture war, of which the attack on female athletes is a part, will be important in the upcoming election cycles,” said Oestreich.  “The Democrat-led radical agenda in Lansing, and in Washington, D.C., is against everything that 11th District voters want. Riley’s powerful, positive message hit the target here in Oakland County.”
